“Things To Do” Update

Just thought I’d let you all know how I’m doing with my “Things To Do” New Year’s list.  I must say, I’m quite proud of how much I’ve accomplished in 4 days.  If anyone wants to applaud, now would be the appropriate time.

These ones are DONE!

1)  Eat more chocolate:  I made double chocolate chip cookies a few nights ago, just to make sure that I had the MORE part covered.

2)  Play Tiger Woods PGA Tour on XBox:  I played for 3 hours a few nights ago after Ryan went to bed and Matt was working on his laptop.  My little golfer chick now owns all kinds of cool stuff (a visor, shoes, a watch, a glove)  that I purchased with my tournament winnings.  Yes, I AM living in La-la-land.

3)  Wear flip flops:  I wore black ones to the grocery store on Wednesday.  Must suck to live somewhere that is snowing right now, huh?

4)  Tell goofy stories:  I sometimes get the feeling that Matt would prefer that I do a little less of this.  It’s usually indicated by his eyes rolling to the back of his head.

These two are still in progress:

1)  Watch funny movies:  I bought Matt “Superbad” for Christmas (although, let’s be honest here, it was one of those “what’s yours is mine” gifts).  We will be watching it tonight.  McLooooovin!!!!!

2)  Try new recipes:  I organized my recipe book this morning and found a ton of recipes that I’ve never tried but look damn good in the pictures.  Note to self:  don’t look at pictures of food when you’re hungry.

I still haven’t gotten to the bugs on the windshield thing.  It looks like it may rain this afternoon, so with any luck I’ll get a free car wash.  I like to think of rain as God’s way of helping me out and saying, “Car washes are on me today.”
